Sky Sox Return Home For Highlight-Filled Homestand
The Colorado Springs Sky Sox return to Security Service Field for their second homestand of the season on Monday, May 2. The eight-game homestand features back-to-back four-game sets against the Round Rock Express, top affiliate of the Texas Rangers, and the Oklahoma City Dodgers, top affiliate of the Los Angeles Dodgers.
The homestand begins with Must-Win Monday on May 2 against Round Rock, guaranteeing a free ticket to a future Monday game at Security Service Field during the 2016 season with a Sox win and valid ticket from the game. Monday is also a Kids Eat Free day, courtesy of ARC Thrift Store.
Starting on Monday, pedometers will be given away for the duration of the homestand while supplies last, courtesy of UC Health. Magnet schedules presented by ACE Hardware will also be given away during the homestand while supplies last.
$2 Tuesday's return on May 3 courtesy of South Colorado Springs Nissan. Fans can enjoy $2 tickets, parking, and Coors and Coors Light through the seventh inning.
Wednesday's and Thursday's games will both be Math Days presented by UCCS, with each contest starting at 11:05 a.m.
Friday's opener of the series against the Dodgers will be Air Force Appreciation Night sponsored by USAA/BAE Systems and will feature an exciting fireworks show after the 6:35 p.m. game.
Saturday's game is Fort Carson Appreciation Night, also presented by USAA/BAE Systems, and fireworks will again light up the night sky following the 6:05 p.m. game.
On Sunday, May 8, the Sky Sox will wear special pink jerseys for their Mother's Day matinee, with first pitch scheduled for 1:35 p.m. The game worn pink jerseys will be available for fans to bid on during an in-game silent auction with proceeds benefitting the Susan G. Komen Foundation. It is also Paint the Park Pink day sponsored by Great Clips. Prior to the game, team posters will be given away courtesy of SSFCU and fans will have the opportunity to get their poster signed by the entire team during a pregame autograph session from 12:00-12:30 p.m. Also, hot dogs will only cost 50 cents on Sunday, courtesy of Albertsons/Safeway.
The homestand concludes with an afternoon Must-Win Monday on May 9 at 12:35 p.m.
