Bisons unveil plans for 'Blue Jays Weekend'

Two-day celebration of affiliation to include special guests, jerseys

Paying tribute to the fantastic partnership between the Buffalo Bisons and the Toronto Blue Jays, the Bisons will host the 4th Annual 'BLUE JAYS WEEKEND' at Coca-Cola Field, presented by Samuel Son & Co. Inc. from May 21-22. As the Herd hosts the Pawtucket Red Sox, Bisons and Blue Jays fans will be treated to giveaways each day and special appearances from Blue Jays greats JESSE BARFIELD and DEVON WHITE.

Both Blue Jays Weekend Games on Saturday, May 21 and Sunday, May 22 have a 1:05 p.m. first pitch. CLICK HERE for more information.

The Bisons also announced that they will wear a new AFFILIATION THROWBACK JERSEY & CAP for both 'Blue Jays' Weekend Games. The Bisons will give out a MARCUS STROMAN BOBBLEHEAD DOLL to the first 3,000 fans through the Inspire Dental Gate at Swan St. before the game on Saturday, May 21 (Gates at 12pm) and a BISONS-BLUE JAYS PENNANT to the first 3,000 fans through the Inspire Dental gate at Swan St. on Sunday, May 22 (Gates at 12pm). Barfield and White will take part in an AUTOGRAPH SESSION before the game on Sunday, May 22 from 12:00 p.m. - 1:30 p.m.

During each game, the Bisons will give away BLUE JAYS AUTOGRAPHED BASEBALLS from such stars as Marcus Stroman, Aaron Sanchez, Jose Bautista, Josh Donaldson. Other in-game giveaways will include BLUE JAYS TICKETS to see the Bisons' Major League partner play at Rogers Centre.

New Affiliation Throwback Jersey & Cap
This new powder blue jersey top and cap is a tribute to the road jerseys worn by the Blue Jays in the late 1970s through most of the 1980s. The jersey features 'the Hitting Buster' in the middle of the chest with the Bisons' team name arched above it in the classic 'Blue Jays' split font. The jersey also features the Blue Jays' logo patch on the left sleeve, the American and Canadian flags on the right sleeve and a split-font Blue number on the back.

The New Era cap affiliation cap is also powder blue with a dark blue brim and the Bisons 'B' in a split font.

TICKETS
Tickets for Blue Jays Weekend, presented by Samuel Son & Co. Inc. are now on sale RIGHT HERE, by calling THE-HERD at (716) 843-4373 or at the Coca-Cola Field Box Office. Fans can save $2.00 on every ticket they buy when purchased in advance of game day.

Canadian residents should be reminded that if Canadian cash will be accepted at par at the Coca-Cola Field Box Office for the purchase of single-game tickets through Sunday, May 8. This includes tickets to either Blue Jays' Weekend games as long as the purchase is made by May 8.

JESSE BARFIELD & DEVON WHITE
Jesse Barfield spent the first nine years of his 12-year Major League career with the Blue Jays from 1981-1989 and hit 179 home runs in 1,032 games with Toronto. Barfield led the American League with 40 home runs in 1986 in a season he was an AL All-Star and finished 5th in MVP voting. He also won a Gold Glove in back-to-back seasons for Toronto, 1986-87.

A seven-time Gold Glove winner, Devon White played 656 games with Toronto from 1991-1995, where he won two of his three World Series championships. White was an All-Star with the Blue Jays in 1993 and hit 72 home runs and stole 126 bases during his time with Toronto.

AUTOGRAPH SESSION DETAILS
On Sunday, Barfield and White will sign for approximately an hour and a half starting at 12:00 p.m. Autographs will be by the Washington St. Gate. Fans will be limited to one autograph item per player, no pictures.
