Jupiter Hammers their way to Victory!
Jupiter, FL. - Jupiter Hammerheads (9-12) came in to today's Education Day action dropping the last two games against the Fort Myers Miracle (12-9) looking to salvage the rubber match with a big victory and avoid being swept for the first time this season.
Brian Anderson continues to lead the charge offensively for your Hammerheads with a four hit day and one RBI as well as three runs scored. Jupiter had four batters reach base by way of a hit multiple times, Taylor Ard went 2-for-5 with one RBI as well as his sixth double of the season and two runs scored, Brad Haynal knocked in three RBI's during a three hit day in five plate appearances alongside one run scored. Yuniel Ramirez finished the day 3-for-5 with one RBI and one run scored. Justin Bohn as well has started to pick up the RBI's with a two plater moving his total to three.

The pitching staff was rock solid, Dillon Peters (W, 2-1) tossed five innings with four hits, one run and four strikeouts. Chris Mazza worked a scoreless two innings surrendering one hit, Esmerling De La Rosa had a little bit of a shakey outing but limited the damage to two in what was an academic result of 12-3 victory for your Hammerheads. Kyle Fischer was activated out of the pen to end the ball game and did so with one hit allowed, no runs, no walks and zero strikeouts.
Fort Myers was led offensively by Nick Gordon, who finished 2-for-4 with one run scored, Alex Real completing a 2-for-3 day. In total the Miracle reach base by way of a hit eight times with two RBI's as they drop the rubber match.
Fort Myers takes two out of three and has notched a .245 batting average, with 21 RBI's, three home runs, on-base percentage of .310, with five stolen bases in the series against your Hammerheads so far this year, with six games of this matchup under their belts.
Tomorrow the Hammerheads welcome in the Bradenton Marauders (9-11) for a three game series against a Southern Division foe. Friday's are Abacoa Night's at the ballpark and getting the ball to start this series will be Luis Castillo (3-0, 2.18 ERA) against Brandon Waddell (3-0, 1.17 ERA) with a normal start of 6:30 PM at Roger Dean Stadium.
