May 2, 2016

Bowling Green, KY --

The Bowling Green Hot Rods (Class A affiliate of the Tampa Bay Rays) announced the promotion of Eric C. Leach, who will serve as the team's new General Manager, effective immediately. Leach, previously the team's Assistant General Manager, becomes the fourth General Manager in Hot Rods history.

He takes over for Adam Nuse, who announced his departure earlier in the day, after being named the General Manager for the Nashville Sounds (AAA affiliate of the Oakland Athletics). "We want to thank Adam for his years of service to the Hot Rods and Bowling Green community. We wish him all the best in his new role" said Stuart Katzoff.

"This is a tremendous opportunity and one that I am excited and humbled to start." said Leach. "I have spent twelve years working in sports and seven of them in Kentucky to reach this point. Adam has done a great job of pointing us in the right direction and I look forward to building upon what he has accomplished."

Originally from Omaha Nebraska, Eric first came to Kentucky to help be a part in starting up the Lexington Legends franchise. He spent a total of five season working for the owners before briefly leaving sports and working in the non-profit sector in the Dominican Republic. Upon returning to sports, Eric was the first person hired during the transition of ownership to Manhattan Capital Sports.

"We have been able to get to know Eric over the past couple of years and have full confidence in him and the staff to continue to provide great entertainment and a fun atmosphere to Southcentral Kentucky" said Stuart Katzoff.

Eric currently resides in Bowling Green with his wife Sunshine, who works for the Warren County Public Library, and their two sons Colton and Jaxson.

The Hot Rods are in their eighth season in Southcentral Kentucky at Bowling Green Ballpark. Select mini-game packages and group opportunities are still available for the season. You can purchase tickets online, by going to the Hot Rods box office or by calling (270) 901-2121.
