Spider-Man Coming to Hadlock for Superhero Day!

Wear your favorite Superhero Costume to the Ballpark

Spider-Man © MARVEL will be appearing at Hadlock Field for "Superhero Day at the Ballpark", presented by Modern Pest Services, on Sunday, May 15th when the Sea Dogs host the Binghamton Mets at 1:00 PM.

The World Famous Superhero will be visiting Hadlock Field courtesy of Marvel Character Appearances. Spider-Man will be available for autographs and photos.

Adults and children are also encouraged to wear their favorite Superhero costume to the ballpark. Everyone wearing a Superhero costume will be able to participate in a pre-game Superheroes Parade around the warning track. Please plan to be at the ballpark by 12:00 PM, if you would like to participate in the parade. Prizes will be awarded for best kids and adult costumes.

The Sea Dogs are pleased to have a true American Superhero to throw out the ceremonial first-pitch; Staff Sergeant Travis Mills. SSG Mills of the 82nd Airborne was critically injured on April 10, 2012 on his third tour of duty in Afghanistan by an IED (improvised explosive device) while on patrol, losing portions of both legs and both arms. He is one of only five quadruple amputees from the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan to survive his injuries.

Thanks to his amazing strength, courage, an incredible will to live, the heroic actions of the men in his unit, the prayers of thousands, and all the healthcare providers at the Walter Reed Army Medical Center, near Washington D.C., Travis remains on the road to recovery. Every day is a battle, but Travis continues to astound friends and family alike with his progress and with his amazing spirit. After the game, kids 16 and under will be able to run the bases, courtesy of Bon-Ton. 

Additionally, kids and adults dressed in Superhero costumes will be randomly selected to participate in the various on-field promotions throughout the game.
