HBCU Classic is Friday at Fluor Field
First pitch between Claflin and Voorhees is set for 7 PM; Post-game fireworks
On Friday, April 15th - the 64th anniversary of Jackie Robinson breaking Major League Baseball's color barrier - Fluor Field will host the HBCU Classic, presented by Michelin, featuring Claflin University and Voorhees College. First pitch is set for 7:05 PM.

As part of the game entertainment and atmosphere, there will be local students, church groups, sororities, fraternities, and members of the United Way in attendance.
In addition, there will be a spectacular fireworks display following the game.
Jackie Robinson, an All-Star second baseman with a .311 career batting average, was the first African-American to play Major League Baseball. He was named the Rookie of the Year, played in six All-Star Games and was named the Most Valuable Player in 1949.
