PEARL, MS -- The Mississippi Braves are excited to announce that Timothy Miller will perform the National Anthem and God Bless America at Trustmark's Southern League All-Star Game on June 21.

Miller, 34, is a tenor with the Atlanta Opera and has been performing God Bless America at all Atlanta Braves Sunday home games and special holiday games since 2010. He was one of eight performers from the Atlanta Opera sent to try out for the Braves gig in 2010.
Miller, the son of an Army man and Baptist preacher, began singing hymns in his father's church. He recently debuted with the Georgia Symphony as tenor soloist in Beethoven's ninth symphony.
In addition to the All-Star Game itself, Miller is also scheduled to perform some jazz songs during the "variety show" at Trustmark's A Night with the Stars All-Star Gala Monday evening. The gala is set for 7:00 PM at the Jackson Convention Complex.
A 2003 Morehouse College graduate, Miller is currently an adjunct professor of voice and music. The Augusta native resides in Atlanta with his wife, Iuyana. They have two children-Morgan and Matthew.
