El Paso Chihuahuas Homestand Preview No. 3

EL PASO - May 13, 2016 - The El Paso Chihuahuas return home on Saturday, May 14th for the start of two four-game home series in nine days. The Chihuahuas will face the New Orleans Zephyrs (Miami Marlins) May 14-17 and the Round Rock Express (Texas Rangers) May 19-22. 

"Let's rock, everybody, let's rock" as the Chihuahuas celebrate Elvis Presley on Saturday! Postgame Fireworks Spectacular, presented by KVIA and KISS FM, will be choreographed to the music by the King of Rock and Roll!

Grab the leash and bring your furry best friend to the ballpark in celebration of the first GECU Bark at the Park of 2016. Fans and their canine friends are encouraged to purchase tickets in advance as there is limited seating available. Guests must provide shot records upon entry. See below for more details.

The series continues on Monday with $10 Zone E seats for active and past military personnel with valid ID and Tuesday, May 17th is the final weekday matinee game (11:05 a.m.) of the season! 

Take a break from the workday and have lunch with the Chihuahuas at the third and final Business at the Ballpark, A Network Event in the Sun Kings Saloon! Special guest speakers include: Alan Ledford, President of MountainStar Sports Group, Matt Keats, President of Keats Southwest, Judge Scott, El Paso Chihuahuas Senior Account Executive for Corporate Partnerships and Suites, and Jim Paul, baseball legend in Marketing and Promotions.

Round Rock returns to El Paso for a four-game set on Thursday, May 19th at 6:35 p.m.; Friday, May 20th at 7:05 p.m.; Saturday, May 21st at 7:05 p.m.; and Sunday, May 22nd at 1:05 p.m.

The Chihuahuas and Whataburger have teamed up with El Pasoans Fighting Hunger for the second year to bring a food drive to Southwest University Park that will take place during the series. All fans are encouraged to bring three (3) or more non-perishable cans or $1 or more in monetary donations to receive one (1) free Whataburger coupon. All donations will be accepted at the Santa Fe Plaza entrance at gates open. The goal is to provide 1,600 meals to families in El Paso!

Military Appreciation presented by GECU is on Thursday with the night's entertainment centered around the Armed Forces. The night is also Thrifty Thursday, presented by KLAQ, KFOX, Univision, Tricolor and What's Up, offering $2 12oz beer, $2 20oz soft drinks, $2 value popcorn and $2 Chihua'rrrines until 8:30 p.m.

Rock and roll all night and party at the ballpark as the Chihuahuas pay tribute to the legendary band KISS on Saturday, May 21st! Special KISS jerseys will be worn by the players and auctioned off during the game with net proceeds benefiting Operation Noel. The Chihuahuas are the first team in Minor League Baseball to wear licensed KISS jerseys. Winners will be escorted on to the field postgame to pick up their game-worn autographed jersey from the winner's respective player.

The series concludes Sunday with Chico's Birthday Celebration! Join the Chihuahuas, Chico, and his pal Sarah the Cow from Sarah Farms! Kids can run the bases postgame presented by The Hospitals of Providence. 

Reserved seats remain for the homestand! Fans are encouraged to purchase their tickets in advance at either of the two box office locations (Durango Street and Santa Fe Street) or online at EPChihuahuas.com. 

PLEASE ADVISE THE FOLLOWING RULES FOR GECU BARK AT THE PARK (MAY 15): 
ALL entry and exit will be through the Missouri St. Gate.
Owners must be 18 years of age or older.
One dog per seat holder.
Owners will be required to have their canine friends on a leash at all times.
Owners must sign a waiver upon entry.
Owners must show proof of the following vaccinations: Rabies, DHLP (Distemper, Hepatitis, Leptospirosis, Para Influenza), Parvo and Bordatella.
Owners will be allowed one reentry for pet relief.
