I-Cubs Home Opener Rained Out

Des Moines, IA - Friday night's game between the Iowa Cubs and Memphis Redbirds at Principal Park has been postponed due to rain. Tonight was to be the I-Cubs first home game of the season. The game will be rescheduled as part of a 5 p.m. doubleheader on June 22.

The Cubs and Redbirds will play tomorrow night at 7:05. The gates will open at 5:30 and the first 1,000 fans will receive a magnet schedule sponsored by Bob Oliver Heating & Air Conditioning. G&L Clothing is sponsoring a one of a kind Bob Feller Bandana giveaway as well a souvenir postcard for the first 2,000 fans to commemorate Iowa native Bob Feller's Opening Day no-hitter against the Chicago White Sox on April 16, 1940.
