Rainiers Announce "R House Hangout" Summer Concert Series
TACOMA, Wash. -- The Tacoma Rainiers today announced the "R House Hangout" summer concert series at Cheney Stadium. Comprised of four free live music events from May to August, the concert series will also feature a pre-event happy hour, and on-site food trucks.
"We want Cheney Stadium to be known for great music as much as it's known for baseball," Team President Aaron Artman said. "The concept is to create, right on our outfield, the best outdoor space in Tacoma to eat, drink, and listen to tunes during the summer. We hope the community embraces it, and we are committed to do it this year and beyond."
All shows will take place on Fridays, and are scheduled for May 27, July 8, Aug. 12, and Aug. 26. Doors will open at 5:00 p.m., and live music kicks off at 7:00 p.m. Admission for all four dates is free.
Kicking off the series on Friday, May 27 will be Silver Torches, Fly Moon Royalty, and Kris Orlowski. All three opening night bands are based in the Pacific Northwest.
Bands and performers for the remaining dates will be announced at a later date on www.tacomarainiers.com and the Rainiers social media accounts.
Music for the "R House Hangout" concert series is curated by Plus One Presents.
All tickets, group outings, and suite packages for the team's 2016 campaign are available for purchase in-person at the Cheney Stadium Box Office or online at www.tacomarainiers.com.
