Brett Phillips activated from the 7-day DL

OF Phillips reinstated from the DL as OF Omar Garcia transferred to Helena

BILOXI, MS - The Milwaukee Brewers have announced the following roster moves that affect the Shuckers roster prior to tonight's 7:10 pm game against the Mobile BayBears at MGM Park. OF Brett Phillips has been reinstated from the 7-day DL and OF Omar Garcia has been transferred to rookie Helena.

Phillips, 21, was placed on the 7-day DL on May 19th with a hamstring strain. This season Phillips leads the Shuckers with six home runs and 26 RBI, posting a .254 (33x130) batting average, six doubles, a triple, 15 walks, two stolen bases and a .340 on-base percentage.

Garcia, 22, has been transferred to rookie Helena after playing in seven games and making three starts in the outfield for the Shuckers. Garcia scored six runs and batted .357 (5x14) with two RBI, three walks, four stolen bases and a .471 on-base percentage. Prior to joining the Shuckers on May 19th, Garcia was batting .203 (16x79) with four RBI and five stolen bases in 25 games for High-A Brevard County.

The Shuckers current roster is made up of 25 active players and one on the disabled list.

Southpaws will duel in tonight's game five of the series from MGM Park, with Biloxi's LHP Josh Hader (1-1, 0.79) taking his league-leading ERA against Mobile's LHP Anthony Banda (3-2, 3.04). First pitch is scheduled for 7:10 p.m., with coverage starting at 6:50 p.m. on the Biloxi Shuckers' Radio Network's flagship station WGCM 1240 AM, 100.9 FM, Pascagoula's WPMO 1580 AM and the TuneIn Radio app. The contest can also be seen on milb.tv.

There will be a Post-Game Fireworks at the conclusion of tonight's contest and it's also Boy Scout Night at MGM Park.

Sunday features McDonald's Family Fun Day and Military Appreciation Day with the Shuckers wearing special military themed jerseys. The promotions continue on Tuesday night with Gautier and Vancleave Community Night, Double Play Thursday $2 ballpark favorites on Thursday, Biloxi Shuckers T-Shirt Giveaway, presented by the Mississippi National Guard on Friday, June 3rd and another Post-Game Fireworks Show on Saturday, June 4th.
