Smokies To Host East Tennessee High School All-Star Game

High School Seniors to Compete in All-Star Game on Saturday afternoon

SEVIERVILLE - The Tennessee Smokies are hosting the second annual East Tennessee High School All-Star Game at Smokies Stadium on Saturday June 11 prior to the Smokies' 7:05 p.m. ET contest against the Chattanooga Lookouts. 

Rosters, which include players nominated by area coaches, have been announced for both teams:

Region 1 Roster: Zach Linginfelter (Sevier Co.), Nathan Clabo (Sevier Co.), Tavis Carmichael (Morristown East), Chris Fowler (South Doyle), Jacob Jennings (Morristown West), Nick Smelcer (Morristown West), Ben Conard (Cocke Co.), Keary Nease (Cocke Co.), Theo Hooper (Cocke Co.), Austyn Brown (Daniel Boone), Jordan Holly (Science Hill), Reece Westmoreland (Science Hill), Carter Linton (Dobyns Bennett), Matt Marrisett (Cherokee).

Region 1 will wear light/home uniforms.

Region 2 Roster: Dalton Langston (Halls), Carson Pack (Anderson Co.), Jared McDonald (Heritage), Tyson Beach (Bearden), Dylan Harris (Hardin Valley), Tyler Thompson (Hardin Valley), Landon Beyer (Hardin Valley), Kevin Marth (Hardin Valley), Tyler Mullins (Gibbs), Sam Springer (West), Ben Kirby (West), Marquios Taylor (West), Cole Skvara (West), Will Warner (Rockwood), Hunter Judd (Catholic), Turner Whitfield (Catholic), Jared Ruon (Clinton), Payton Vandegriff (Clinton), Riley Miller (Clinton), Lance Hamilton (Clinton), Redmond Walsh (Alcoa), Christian Feaster (Farragut), Zac Akey (Gatlinburg Pittman), Paul Underwood (Bearden).

Region 2 will wear dark/road uniforms.

Coaches: Travis Hart (Gatlinburg Pittman), Doug Polston (Halls), Geoff Davis (Gibbs), Matt Byrd (Central), Jake Witter (Rockwood), Robbie Bennett (Heritage) & Casey Taylor (Sevier Co.).

The experiences for the 2016 graduating seniors include batting practice, a home run derby, a nine-inning game (time permitting), a post-game meal on the Calhoun's At The Yard pavilion during the Smokies game and a special awards ceremony prior to the start of Saturday's game.

Batting practice will begin at 2:00 p.m. ET with the gates set to open at that time as well. The home run derby will begin at 3:00 p.m. ET with the game set to start at 4:00 p.m. ET.

Fans that wish to attend the East Tennessee High School All-Star Game at Smokies Stadium must purchase a Smokies ticket for that night's contest against the Lookouts.

Saturday night's contest will be Jimmy Buffett Tribute Night presented by Lloyd's Electric Service. As a part of the celebration Corona's will be on sale for $2 throughout contest and there will be a special postgame performance by the Key West Band. Also following the final out, there will be a postgame fireworks show inconjunction with Alzheimer's Tennessee. Saturday evening's contest will also feature a medic blood drive.
