Barons Return Home to Giveaways, Fireworks & The Force

Hoover, AL - The Birmingham Barons return home after a quick trip to Huntsville to tackle their second homestand of the 2011 season, which will feature a Barons youth t-shirt giveaway, fireworks in addition to Star Wars Night. Beginning Thursday, April 28, and running through Monday, May 2, the Barons will host a five-game series against the Mobile BayBears, Double-A affiliate of the Arizona Diamondbacks.

Kicking off the homestand will be Thirsty Thursday at Regions Park which includes; Ladies Night and a pregame concert by Mishap Acoustic. Friday Night Fireworks will be the only pyrotechnic show of the homestand. The first big giveaway of the season will occur Saturday with the first 1,000 kids 12-and-under will receive a Birmingham Barons youth t-shirt. Millennium Falcons must be parked in the RV lot prior to Saturday night's game as the Barons celebrate Star Wars Night. Fans need to remember to bring their R2D2's to be signed during the pregame team autograph session. Prior to Sunday's home game, the Barons will host a youth clinic on the field at Regions Park.

Plenty of excitement will be felt around the ballpark while the season kicks into full gear, going into the second month of the season.
