Quakes seek MC, PA announcer
The Quakes are also in search of individuals to serve on the Quakes Rally Squad, the in-game promotions crew.
The on-field emcee is the primary host during Quakes games and is chiefly responsible for hyping up the crowd and getting fans excited about the entertainment on-field. The public-address announcer works from the press box and announces batters, personnel changes on-field as well as reads promotional spots in coordination with the Quakes' video board.
Tryouts for Quakes public address announcer will be held on Wednesday, March 21, while tryouts for on-field emcee will be held on Thursday, March 22. Auditions for these seasonal, game-day positions will be held between 4-7 p.m. and are to be scheduled by appointment only by calling Jonathan Mercier, director of entertainment, or Frank Novak, director of marketing, at (909) 481-5000.
The Quakes are also seeking candidates for the Quakes Rally Squad, our in-game promotions team. The promotions team will assist Quakes staff with giveaways at the front gate as well as greeting fans before and after the game as well as working the crowd and assisting with the on-field entertainment at The Epicenter. Individuals or groups interested in becoming a member of the Quakes Rally Squad are asked to call and schedule an appointment to visit the stadium on either of the dates listed above.
The Quakes are the Advanced Class A California League affiliate of the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim and open their 2007 season on Thursday, April 5, at home against the Lake Elsinore Storm.
