Jack Ingram, Heidi Newfield Headline Werner Enterprises Concert

July 15 will feature Storm Chasers game, fireworks and concert presented by Werner Enterprises

OMAHA, Neb. - Country music stars Jack Ingram and Heidi Newfield will take the stage Friday, July 15, 2011 for the first Werner Enterprises Concert at Werner Park, the Omaha Storm Chasers and Werner Enterprises announced Wednesday. The musical performance will follow that evening's Storm Chasers baseball game against the New Orleans Zephyrs and Friday Fireworks presented by American Family Insurance. First pitch for the baseball game is scheduled for 6:35 p.m.

Ingram, the winner of the 2008 Academy of Country Music (ACM) award for "Best New Male Vocalist" is at the forefront of country music with the album Big Dreams & High Hopes, the seventh studio disc of his career and his third for Nashville maverick indie label Big Machine Records. A native of the Houston, Texas area, Ingram has placed seven singles in the country music Top 40 during his career, including the No. 1 smash hit "Wherever You Are."

Newfield has spent most of her career as the lead singer, rhythm guitarist and harmonica player for the platinum-selling, award-winning band, Trick Pony. Now on her own, Newfield has established herself as a powerhouse solo artist, earning five ACM nominations for her debut solo album, What Am I Waiting For. The Healdsburg, Calif., native has a soulful, distinctive voice that results from a variety of her musical inspirations, from Loretta Lynn to Waylon Jennings, Tina Turner, Otis Redding and Bonnie Raitt.

Werner maintains its global headquarters in Omaha, just down the road from Werner Park, which bears the company's name. Werner and the Omaha Storm Chasers announced the Werner Park name on November 11, 2010.
