BlueClaws Salute Retiring Team Photographer Dave Schofield
The BlueClaws were proud to honor our retiring team photographer Dave Schofield at the game on Thursday night.
Dave has been the official BlueClaws team photographer since the team's 2001 inception, and has also worked for the Trenton Thunder since their 1994 inception, the Phillies, Yankees, and elsewhere in baseball.
BlueClaws General Manager Chris Tafrow presented Schofield with a framed BlueClaws #16 jersey, commemorating his 16 years as the team's photographer, among other gifts.
"Dave has left a tremendous legacy with the BlueClaws through photography - almost every picture you've seen of a BlueClaws player or of FirstEnergy Park was taken by Dave," said Tafrow. "But his real legacy was through his continuous support, kindness, and generosity over the last 16 years. Congrats, Dave, and all the best!"
Before the game on Thursday night, a video tribute was played in the ballpark with congratulatory messages from many friends and colleagues including Phillies broadcaster Tom McCarthy, former BlueClaws broadcasters Neil Solondz and Ben Wager, former BlueClaws manager Greg Legg, the Phillie Phanatic, and more. You can view that video below.
Tony Graham also caught up with Schofield for a look back at his career and his time with the BlueClaws. You can view that video below.
