Troy Landry Appearance Highlights Upcoming Homestand

Pregame Faith Night Concert Scheduled for Sunday

Frederick, Md. -Troy Landry from the reality show Swamp People is scheduled to visit Nymeo Field on Friday night when the Frederick Keys take on the Winston-Salem Dash at 7:00 p.m. The star of the hit-History Channel reality show, Landry will be on hand to sign autographs and greet fans from 6-8 p.m. In addition to this appearance, local scout troops can camp under the stars while the Waterboyz for Jesus return for a Sunday concert.

Debuting in 2010, Swamp People chronicles the day-to-day life of Louisiana natives who live in the Atchafalaya River Basin and hunt alligators for a living. Originally from Pierre Part, LA, Landry is known as "The King of the Swamp" and averages 30-40 alligator catches a day. When he is not alligator hunting (the season lasts for 30 days in September) Landry runs Duffy Shell Station in Pierre Part. In addition to Friday's appearance by Landry there will be postgame fireworks presented by Nymeo to go along with a baseball bank giveaway.

Saturday at 6 p.m is Scout Night sponsored by Wegmans. Local troops are invited to attend the game and take part in a sleep over on the field afterwards. Additionally, there will be a fireworks show courtesy of WLR Auto and Wegmans.

The weekend concludes on Sunday at 6 p.m with Faith Night. Gates open at three and includes a pre-game concert by the Waterboyz for Jesus. Following the game there will a third fireworks show thanks to American Disposal Systems. It is also a Sunday Funday presented by Chili's. There will be a pre-game catch in the outfield from 5-5:30 p.m and two Keys players will be on the concourse signing autographs.

Right-hander Franderlin Romero (4-1, 3.45) starts for the Keys against Hillcats righty Mitch Brown (2-6, 5.20). First pitch is slated for 6:30 p.m and the broadcast can be heard on 1450 AM The Source and frederickkeys.com.
