Jokisch was roughed up in the loss, allowing eight earned runs on 11 hits in just 4.1 innings of work. He was designated for assignment and claimed by the Marlins on April 13. Jokisch was originally drafted by the Cubs in the 11th round of the 2010 draft and had spent all five of his professional seasons within the team's farm system before being designated for assignment.

To complete Round Rock's 25-man roster, INF Edwin Garcia was promoted from AA Frisco on Friday afternoon. Additionally, LHP Alex Claudio was recalled to the Texas Rangers while LHP Juan Grullon was activated off Round Rock's disabled list.
