Flying Tigers Outfielder Mike Gerber Named Florida State League Player of the Week

Lakeland, FL - Lakeland Flying Tigers outfielder Mike Gerber has been named Florida State League (FSL) Player of the Week. The FSL selection was for the period of July 4-10.

Gerber hit .429 (9-21) with two doubles and three home runs in six games. He scored seven runs and knocked in 11. This is Gerber's third professional season. He was drafted by the Detroit Tigers in the 15th round of the June 2014 draft while attending Creighton University. Gerber was named the Detroit Tigers Minor League Player of the Year in 2015.
