MWL All-Star and ERA leader Harris promoted

LANSING, Mich. - In conjunction with the Toronto Blue Jays, the Lansing Lugnuts announce that pitcher Jon Harris has been promoted to A-Advanced Dunedin, third baseman Carl Wise has been placed on the 7-day Disabled List retroactive to July 21st and infielder/coach Alex Maldonado has been activated from the Disabled List.

Harris, 22, the Toronto Blue Jays' 1st-round draft choice in 2015, was 8-2 with a Midwest League-leading 2.23 ERA in 16 starts, striking out 73 batters in 84 2/3 innings. From April 30th-May 28th, the Missouri State product tossed 30 1/3 consecutive scoreless innings, earning him a spot in the 52nd MWL All-Star Classic in Cedar Rapids.
