Jon Kemmer homers in 5-4 Grizz loss

The Fresno Grizzlies fell to the Albuquerque Isotopes 5-4 Saturday night from Chukchansi Park. Albuquerque starter Harrison Musgrave (6-5) earned the decision after tossing seven innings, allowing four runs (earned), on seven hits, walking two and striking out three. Fresno starter Brad Peacock (4-5) suffered the loss after throwing five innings, allowing four runs (three earned), on 10 hits, walking one and punching out four. 

Albuquerque took a 1-0 lead in the top of the second when Rafael Ynoa (2-for-5) knocked a RBI single to left. 

The Grizzlies retook control 3-1 in the bottom of the second when Chan Jong Moon (1-for-3) ripped a two-run double to left. Moon scored two batters later when Tony Kemp (3-for-4) laced a single to center. 

The Isotopes cut the deficit to 3-2 in the top of the third when Stephen Cardullo (3-for-5) scored on an error by Tyler White. Albuquerque evened the score at 3-3 in the top of the fifth when Cardullo smoked a RBI double to left. Two batter later, Tom Murphy made it 4-3 when he hit into a fielder's choice. Ben Paulsen (3-for-5) added to the advantage in the top of the seventh when he spanked a single to center, scoring David Dahl (4-for-5). It was 5-3 Albuquerque.

Fresno trimmed the deficit to 5-4 in the bottom of the seventh when Jon Kemmer (2-for-3) blasted a solo shot to right. It was his seventh home run of the season. 

Albuquerque reliever Brian Schlitter picked up his second save after a scoreless ninth. 

The Grizzlies fell to 18-13 in one-run games and 7-3 versus the Isotopes on the season. 

The two teams will meet for game three of the four-game series Sunday night from Downtown Fresno. Albuquerque RHP Christian Bergman (1-2, 4.84) toes the rubber with Fresno RHP Brady Rodgers (8-3, 2.88). First pitch is scheduled for 5:05 PT.
