M-Braves Announce 2017 Schedule
Double-A Braves open 2017 season Thursday, April 6
PEARL, MS -- The 2017 season marks the Mississippi Braves 13th season at Trustmark Park. The Double-A affiliate of the Atlanta Braves begins the season Thursday, April 6 with a five-game homestand against the Jacksonville Suns.

Mississippi fans have seen more than 110 former M-Braves make their Major League debuts and 18 of those were called up directly from Double-A Mississippi. The M-Braves have made it to the playoffs three times and won the 2008 Southern League Championship.
The 2017 season features 70 games at Trustmark Park and 70 games on the road during the 140-game regular season. After the opening five-game homestand, the M-Braves travel to Tennessee for five games. The Braves wrap up the month of April with homestands against Mobile and Tennessee along with a five-game trip to Montgomery between those two series.
In May, the Braves host two teams--Mobile and Pensacola. Mississippi travels to Birmingham, Biloxi, Jacksonville and Jackson (TN) during the month. June starts with the conclusion of a five-game series against the Jackson Generals before returning home for five games against the Shuckers. The Braves also host Montgomery with that series ending on Father's Day.
Mississippi travels to Pensacola and Biloxi during the month of June before ending the month with a six-game homestand against the Chattanooga Lookouts. The Lookouts series concludes with the Braves annual Independence Day Celebration Monday, July 3. In July, the Braves also travel to Mobile and Pensacola. They'll also host Jackson, Biloxi and Jacksonville. The month of July features 17 games at Trustmark Park.
The first three games of August are set for Hank Aaron Stadium in Mobile. The Braves then return for five games against Biloxi before hitting the road for Jacksonville. Mississippi also plays on the road at Chattanooga and Pensacola in August. The final two homestands feature the Blue Wahoos and the Birmingham Barons. The Barons series concludes the season at home on Labor Day.
