July 25, 2016

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. (July 25, 2016) - The Winston-Salem Dash will host Pokémon Go Night at BB&T Ballpark this coming Thursday, July 28, during its 7 p.m. game against the Lynchburg Hillcats.

The night will include several promotions and prizes, including between-inning games, races and trivia contests that will revolve around Pokémon Go, currently the most popular App in the iTunes App Store.

A Pokémon Gym is located near the main entrance of BB&T Ballpark. The gym leader at the end of the third and sixth innings will receive two tickets to the Dash's home opener in 2017. The leader at the end of the game will receive $50 in ballpark money to be used at BB&T Ballpark.

Pokémon Go players follow a map of their surroundings to capture and battle for Pokémon to fill their personal Pokédex. On Thursday, they will be able to walk around the stadium to seize the various Pokémon around BB&T Ballpark, which will feature Pokémon lure modules to attract even more Pokémon to the area.

Gates will open at 6 p.m., and tickets are available for Thursday's game by calling the Baker Roofing Box Office at (336) 714-2287 or visiting wsdash.com. The Pokémon extravaganza will be in conjunction with a Lowes Foods Thirsty Thursday, during which select beers are $1 through the seventh inning.
