Minor League Baseball Announces Esurance Home Field Advantage Award
DANVILLE, Va. - As the second half of the season gets underway, Minor League Baseball and Esurance today unveiled the first annual Esurance Home Field Advantage Award. One Minor League Baseball team in each of the 14 leagues will receive the award based on the highest percentage capacity of the ballpark during the 2016 season.
Danville Braves fans are encouraged to continue to support the D-Braves in this friendly competition by attending games in the home stretch of the regular season. The winning teams will be announced in September and honored at the 2016 Baseball Winter Meetings™ in National Harbor, Maryland, this December. A celebration for the hometown fans of each winning team will also take place at their respective ballparks at the start of the 2017 season.
"The support of the Danville community over the years has been a large part of the success we have had in this community," states Danville Braves General Manager David Cross. "We would love to bring home this award for the City of Danville to show the pride that this region has for Minor League Baseball and the Braves."
The Danville Braves's promotional calendar is packed with fun-filled events to entertain every kind of fan. With our upcoming Kid's Free Nights (Sundays), Dollar Nights (Mondays), $2 Tuesdays, Cooler Give-a-way (August 19th), and Fireworks Show (August 20th), there is something for most anyone at a Danville Braves game.
