How did you get started working in sports?: The summer prior to my senior year at Boise State, I applied with the Hawks for the Media Relations Internship and I couldn't have been anymore excited to have received it! It was great to work in the field I love and get school credit at the same time!
Best moment in sports?: 2004 Boston Red Sox World Championship
Favorite part about working in baseball?: I never feel like I'm going to work.
What advice do you have for those people who are interesting in working in sports?: If you're truly passionate about the game, the less exciting aspects of the job really aren't so bad. A willingness to work different jobs/ help out in various areas is a must. Work hard and do your best. As many people as there are in the industry, it's really not that big.
One thing people don't know about one of your co-workers at the Boise Hawks?: Ooo! I can't wait to find out, myself!
If you didn't work in sports or with the Boise Hawks what would you do?: Outside of baseball, I am also very passionate about environmental issues. I would love to work in a variety of directions concerning environmental sciences.
What are things you enjoy doing when you are not working?: I love to travel! There are so many things to see and do out there! I am also a hippie at heart and can't get enough of frisbee golf. Lastly, I love going to see live sporting events of all kinds. Who knew I would become of fan of Gaelic Football?!
What are three things in life that you can't live without?: Going with friends and family as a given... sunshine, music and cheese!
If you could "un-invent" one thing, what would it be? I hate to say it, but... small dogs. One event after another has taught me that I would rather play with big "kids."
Other fun facts about you: I have a horribly cheesy sense of humor and often crack myself up, if no one else... I like the simple things in life. So often, it is the little things that mean the most. My all-time heroes are Luis Tiant and Ted Williams. Oh! And I learned when I was knee-high that I am the worst liar in the world and can't get away with anything! Ha ha!
