OKC Thunder Set for August 13 at ONEOK Field
Rumble, Thunder Girls, Thunder Drummers & Storm Chases to Appear
The Oklahoma City Thunder has once again partnered with the Tulsa Drillers & U.S. Cellular to host Thunder Night at ONEOK Field on Saturday, August 13, the teams announced today. The Tulsa visit is in advance of the annual Thunder preseason game in Tulsa at the BOK Center, October 13 vs. the Memphis Grizzlies.
Rumble the Bison, the Thunder Girls, the Thunder Drummers and Storm Chasers will take part in the night, providing in-game entertainment and connecting with fans throughout the ballpark. The OG&E ThunderBolt, the team's traveling interactive experience, will also be set up to allow fans to engage with the Thunder through measure-ups, a photo booth, trivia and more.
Gates at ONEOK Field will open at 6 p.m., and the first 1,500 fans will receive a Thunder Bag (photo attached), presented by U.S. Cellular, Tulsa's Channel 8 and Z104.5 The Edge. Rumble will throw out the ceremonial first pitch at 6:40 p.m., before the game against the Frisco RoughRiders starts at 7:05 p.m. Tickets are available for the game through TulsaDrillers.com.
