Joe Maddon bobblehead kicks off homestand

Bandits return home Saturday for four games filled with giveaways

DAVENPORT, Iowa - The Quad Cities River Bandits return to Modern Woodmen Park on Saturday, August 6, for a four-game homestand against the Burlington Bees. The home series features giveaways on three of the four days, including a Joe Maddon bobblehead giveaway on the series opener.

 

The homestand kicks off with a 6:00 p.m. first pitch against Burlington on Saturday, August 6. Gates open at 5:00 p.m. and you do not want to be late as the first 1,500 fans will receive a Joe Maddon Quad Cities Angels bobblehead, courtesy of Ruhl & Ruhl Insurance. The giveaway commemorates the current Chicago Cubs manager, who was a catcher on the 1976 Quad Cities Angels squad.

 

It's a United Healthcare Family Sunday for game two of the series on Sunday, August 7. First pitch between the River Bandits and Bees is slated for 1:15 p.m. and kids can get autographs before the game from their favorite Bandit players. Four-legged friends are also invited to attend the game for a Bark in the Park and it's Superhero Day with an appearance from your favorite superheroes! After the game, Kids Run the Bases presented by Prairie Farms.

 

The series continues with a Modern Woodmen Half-Price Night on Monday, August 8 at 7:00 p.m. Gates open at 6:00 p.m. and be sure to be in line early as the first 1,000 fans will receive a "Be an Everyday Hero" Rascal bobblehead. Fans can also purchase tickets to the game for half-price (excluding suites and group areas) courtesy of Modern Woodmen. Fans can enjoy a Premium Beer Monday and purchase Blue Moon, Shock Top, Goose Island, Michelob Ultra, and Leinenkugel 16-ounce drafts for only $3.

 

The homestand concludes with a 7:00 p.m. first pitch against Burlington on Tuesday, August 9. It's Back to School Night at Modern Woodmen Park and the first 500 fans through the gates will get a free River Bandits notebook. The Bandits also celebrate College Night and students with a valid college student ID can purchase any ticket for $3 off to the game. Students can enter to win a PS4 game console, GShock watches, and gift cards to help prepare them for the new semester. Fans can also enjoy $3 premium beers for College Night. It is also the final Military Tuesday and Dew for Twosday Presented by Pepsi, WOC, and Q106.5 of the season. All active and retired military personnel can purchase up to four $1 bleacher tickets for the game. Fans can bring in their old Mountain Dew cans and exchange them for a free 16-ounce Mountain Dew.
