Hoskins hit his 32nd home run of the season off Bowie starter David Hess in the bottom of the first. The home run cut Bowie's lead to 4-1.

Pullin hit a lead-off home run off Hess in the bottom of the second to make the score 4-2. The home run for Pullin was his sixth of the season.  Cozens smacked his 31st home run of the season in the bottom of the fourth off Hess to cut Bowie's lead to 4-3. Pullin hit a one-out double off Hess then moved to third base on a wild pitch. KC Serna tied the game with a sacrifice fly as Pullin scored. Bowie scored four runs off Viza in the top of the fifth to grab an 8-5 lead. Terdoslavich and Quincy Latimore both hit two-run home runs. Reading tied the game at 8-8 in the bottom of the fifth. Hoskins belted his 33rd home run of the season to chase Hess out of the game. Cozens hit a triple off reliever Parker Bridwell then scored on a groundout by Jake Fox.  Pullin hit his second home run of the game to tie it. The home run was his seventh of the season.

Yacabonis got Scott Kingery to ground-out to second base, moving the runners over a base. Hoskins walked then Cozens hit a grand slam to give Reading a 12-8 lead. It was his second grand slam of the season. Cozens recorded 12 RBI over two-games for the first time since Adam Millan from 6/7/98-6/8/98.
