The Daytona Cubs took the final game against the Palm Beach Cardinals on Saturday at Roger Dean Stadium 3-0, completing the four game sweep.

Four Daytona Cubs pitchers combined for the shutout, and only allowed four hits all night. Dae-Eun Rhee started the ballgame and gave the Cubs 4.1 solid innings. Juan Serrano picked up the victory with 2.2 innings in relief of Rhee, and improves to 2-0 on the season. Jordan Latham picked up his fourth hold with a scoreless eighth and Frank Batista earned his 12th save in 12 opportunities with a hitless ninth.

Junior Lake and Matt Cerda both had three hits for the Cubs, with Lake stealing his team-leading 15th and 16th bases of the season.

With the win, the Cubs improve to a professional baseball-best 31-12 on the season. The Clearwater Threshers defeated the Charlotte Stone Crabs 11-1 on Saturday, so the Cubs remain four games ahead in the FSL North.

Daytona will return home to begin an eight game homestand, beginning Sunday night at 5:35p.m. at Jackie Robinson Ballpark. Both the Port St. Lucie Mets and Bradenton Marauders will be in town for four games each. Tickets are still available for every game, so order online at daytonacubs.com or call (386) 257-3172.
