Lookouts Lose to Suns in Series Opener, 7-3

The Jacksonville Suns took advantage of two Lookouts errors en route to a 7-3 win. The Lookouts are now 56-55 on the year and are now tied with the Montgomery Biscuits for the second best overall record in the North Division.  

Chattanooga started the scoring off with a bang in the bottom of the second with a Niko Goodrum homrun. The blast was the infielders third of the year.  

Lookouts starting pitcher Aaron Slegers gave up no earned runs, but the Suns scored four runs on six hits. The righty ended up striking out four and lowering his ERA to 3.59 on the season. 

With the Suns up 4-1,Chattanooga cut the lead down to one on RBI singles by Ryan Walker and Zack Granite. Those runs were the last the home team would score, but the Suns were not done.  

Jacksonville increased their lead with two runs in the sixth and one in the eighth on a Garrett Weber homer.
