PREVIEW:
LHP Jason Wheeler will be making start number 20 for the Red Wings Friday night. This will be the first time this season that he will face the RailRiders, with his most recent outing coming on August 7. In that start he threw six innings giving up eight hits, four earned runs and four walks with one strikeout. He will be opposed by RHP Brady Lail for the RailRiders. This will be start number 13 for Lail on the season, and his first against the Wings. His last outing came on August 6 against Syracuse. He worked six innings allowing just three hits, two earned runs and two walks while punching out five batters, he was credited with the win.

RF Aaron Judge is hitting .400 (6-for-15) in his last five games played with two homers, eight RBI and four runs scored.

Double-A Chattanooga defeated Birmingham on Thursday night by a 7-1 final. C Stuart Turner paced the offense for the Lookouts going 3-for-4 with a double and two RBI. Stephen Gonsalves pitched a complete game for Chattanooga giving up three hits, one run that was unearned and two walks while punching out eight.
