Captains Fall to Silverhawks 8-1
(South Bend, IN) - The South Bend Silver Hawks scored early and often on their way to a 8-1 victory over the Lake County Captains on Tuesday night. With the win, the Silver Hawks break a tie with the Captains and move into fifth place all alone in the Midwest League's Eastern Division.
South Bend jumped out to a big lead, scoring eight times in the first five innings. Ender Inciarte led the way with three hits, three RBIs, and two runs scored to pace the Hawks from the top of the order. The speedster also stole two bases for the Silver Hawks, who totaled a season high six steals as a team.
While Inciarte was running all over the bases, Patrick Schuster (WP, 3-2) made sure the Captains could not. The lefty allowed just two hits in 6.0 innings, striking out seven and walking four. The lone run Schuster allowed was unearned, scoring after a single, passed ball, wild pitch, and ground out.

In addition to Inciarte, the other eight hitters in the lineup on Tuesday for South Bend all reached base at least once. Zach Walters had the other multi-hit game with a single and double, while Mike Freeman, Yazy Arbelo, Matt Helm, Chris Jarrett, and Ramon Castillo all had a RBI on the night.
