Louisville Bats release 2017 schedule

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The Louisville Bats have released their schedule for the 2017 season. The 2017 season will mark both the franchise's 18th year of baseball at Louisville Slugger Field and 18th year as the Triple-A affiliate of the Cincinnati Reds.
The Bats will open the 2017 campaign with Opening Night on Thursday, April 6 at Louisville Slugger Field to begin a seven-game homestand. The Bats head out on a four-game road trip before returning for a six-game homestand including Thunder Over Louisville on Saturday, April 22.
Louisville Slugger Field will also play host to the Bats on Independence Day (Tuesday, July 4 vs. Toledo) for the first time since the 2011 season and Star Wars Night will return on Saturday, May 20. The Bats will also continue to host their locally famous Budweiser happy hours for their 10 Thursday home games.
The Bats have 11 remaining home games on the 2016 schedule, including a six-game homestand beginning this Friday vs. Indianapolis. Friday and Saturday are both Pokémon GO nights where fans can catch 'em all at Louisville Slugger Field. Friday is also the Team Card Set giveaway with Saturday being the Ted Power bobblehead giveaway to the first 5,000 fans. Sunday is the second Autograph Day, with gates opening at 12:30 p.m.
Season ticket packages featuring guaranteed giveaway items and access to free parking start as low as $77. Single game tickets, including for Thunder Over Louisville, will go on sale November 1.
