Brooks Hall promoted to Colorado Springs
MOBILE, AL. - The Milwaukee Brewers have announced the following roster moves that impact the Shuckers' roster prior to tonight's 7:05 p.m. contest at Mobile. RHP Brooks Hall has been promoted from Biloxi to AAA Colorado Springs. RHP Josh Uhen has been transferred to Biloxi from A+ Brevard County
Hall, 26, returns to AAA Colorado Springs where he opened the 2016 season after appearing in 20 games, including seven starts for the Shuckers. Hall was 5-2 with a 3.48 ERA with 59 strikeouts and 18 walks in 75 innings.
Hall was added to Biloxi's roster on May 9 after appearing in eight games with the SkySox at the beginning of 2016. The Anderson, SC native was 1-1 with an 8.10 ERA (13.1ip, 12er), seven strikeouts and five walks for the SkySox.
In two seasons, Hall appeared in 45 games, 26 starts with the Shuckers, including making the start and earning the win in the first game in franchise history on April 9, 2015 at Pensacola.
The Brewers selected Hall with their fourth round selection in the 2009 draft out of T.L. Hannah High School in Anderson, SC.
Uhen, 24, has appeared in 32 games this season for the A+ Brevard County Manatees, going 1-3 with a 4.35 ERA (49.2ip, 24er), striking out 47 and issuing 20 walks. Uhen posted a 3.09 ERA over 19 games during the first half and in 13 games in the second-half, features a 6.62 ERA.
A native of Oshkosh, Wis., Uhen became the highest drafted player in program history at UW-Milwaukee, after being drafted in the fifth round of the 2013 draft. In his second full season of pro baseball, Uhen posted a 4.39 ERA and 2-3 record over 29 games and four starts with Low-A Wisconsin. In 53.1 innings, he struck out 47 opposing batters.
Biloxi will look to tie a season-high with a fourth consecutive victory on Friday night against Mobile at Hank Aaron Stadium. RHP Brandon Woodruff (7-7, 3.19) takes the mound for the Shuckers against BayBears' right-hander Taylor Clarke (6-6, 3.82). First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 p.m., with coverage starting at 6:45 p.m. on the Biloxi Shuckers' Radio Network's flagship station WGCM 1240 AM, 100.9 FM, Pascagoula's WPMO 1580 AM and the TuneIn Radio app.
