August 21, 2016

JUPITER, Fla. (August 21, 2016) - Sunday's game between the St. Lucie Mets and Palm Beach Cardinals was suspended in the top of the fourth due to rain and unplayable field conditions.

The Mets lead 1-0. There is one out and the bases are empty.

Since Sunday was the last game scheduled between the Mets and Cardinals at Roger Dean Stadium, the game will have to be resumed when the teams meet at Tradition Field on Friday. The game will be played through all nine innings with Palm Beach serving as the home team. A seven inning game will follow.

The Mets loaded the bases with no outs in the first but could only score one run on Kevin Taylor's ground out. Mets starter P.J. Conlon logged three innings, allowing just one hit. He threw 30 pitches.

Next Up: The Mets (65-57, 30-25) are off on Monday. They return to the diamond on Tuesday when they start a six-game home stand at Tradition Field. First pitch on Tuesday vs. the Charlotte Stone Crabs is 6:30 p.m.
