Homestand Highlights August 22-26

PENSACOLA, Fla., - The Pensacola Blue Wahoos welcome the Mobile BayBEars to Blue Wahoos Stadium on Monday, August 22 for the first half of a 10-game homestand. This homestand features Fat Tuesday, Willy Wonka Night and a FANtastic Friday drawstring bag giveaway!

What's Cookin': Mobile is on their way to our House on the Bay. We are going to use a little hometown flavor to defend it at all costs. Enjoy the Battle of the Bay Bowl with jumbo grilled shrimp glazed with orange juice and chipotle on top of Spanish rice with blistered cherry tomato and an avocado crema. This special is served at Port Side Grille for $10.

Who to Watch: Domingo Leyba, SS: 20-year-old Domingo Leyba has been crushing the ball since joining Mobile midway through the second half. In his first 27 Southern League games, the Diamondbacks #13 prospect has hit .323 with 10 RBIs. Leyba, more known for his solid defensive skill, has made a seamless transition from second base to shortstop, impressing scouts across the league

Giveback Monday - Join us for Giveback Monday presented by Pensacola News Journal. The top fundraiser of the night, Marcus Pointe Baptist Church, will receive $1000 from the Blue Wahoos prior to the game and receive the benefits of our 50/50 raffle. 

Tuesday, August 23 vs. Mobile BayBears
First pitch at 6:30 p.m., Gates open at 5:30 p.m.
Fat Tuesday - Fans have a chance to buy individuals tickets to the Winn-Dixie Party Deck for an all-you-can-eat buffet for 90 minutes. This features unlimited hamburgers, hot dogs and popcorn along with samples from Moe's Southwest Grill, Papa John's, Hemingway's Island Grill, Newk's Eatery and Pita Pit. 
A Salute to Ice Night - Join us as we salute ice, especially Ice-T, Ice Cube and Vanilla Ice! Enjoy a Spiked Ice Teat drink special. Be sure to register at Fan Assistance for our rap battle! 

Wednesday, August 24 vs. Mobile BayBears

Willy Wonka Night - Celebrate the opening of Bubba's Sweet Spot with Willy Wonka Night at Blue Wahoos Stadium. Be sure to stop by Fan Assistance for our bubble gum blowing contest! 
Silver Wahoos - Our dancing group, the Silver Wahoos presented by The Retirement Planners, will perform at tonight's game. 

Thursday, August 25 vs. Mobile BayBears
First pitch at 6:30 p.m., Gates open at 5:30 p.m.
Throwback Thursday - Celebrate Happy Hour with Throwback Thursday presented by Seville Quarter drink specials as we go back in time to celebrate opening night of the Wizard of Oz in 1939! Don't forget you can park at Seville Quarter and take the Wahoo Choo Choo to Blue Wahoos Stadium. 

Friday, August 26 vs. Mobile BayBears
First pitch at 6:30 p.m., Gates open at 5:30 p.m.
FANtastic Friday Giveaway - The first 2,000 fans will receive a Blue Wahoos Drawstring Bag presented by Woodlands Medical Specialists. Limit one per person.
