Barons Announce 2017 Schedule
BIRMINGHAM, AL - The Birmingham Barons are excited to announce their schedule for the 2017 Southern League season. Birmingham will open the 2017 season Thursday, April 6 on the road against the Jackson Generals before returning to Regions Field for Opening Night Wednesday, April 12 against the Montgomery Biscuits.
The Barons will once again play 70 home games and travel across the Southern League for 70 road matchups, with a pair of 10 game stretches at Regions Field June 9-18 and August 10-20. Birmingham will have just one 10 game road trip, May 8-17 at Pensacola and Chattanooga.
Birmingham will once again host a slate of games Independence Day weekend at Regions Field, facing the Biloxi Shuckers Wednesday, June 28 through Monday, July 3. The Barons will spend the Fourth of July in Jackson, Tennessee battling the Generals.
The final home game of the 2017 season will be Wednesday, August 30 against the Tennessee Smokies with the regular season finale Monday, September 4 on the road against the Mississippi Braves.
