Tremendous Three-Game Series Tips-Off Tuesday
(Reading, PA) -- Highlighted by the scheduled Major League rehab appearance of
Philadelphia Phillies center fielder Shane Victorino, PA Dutch Day featuring Darren
Dutch Daulton, the 10th Annual Morning Game, and more, the upcoming three-game
homestand at Americas Classic Ballpark is filled with tremendous fun for the entire
family.
Tickets for all three games, as well as all remaining games this season, are available,
and fans can purchase tickets by calling 610-370-BALL, by logging on to
www.readingphillies.com, or by stopping by the brand-new R-Phils ticket office located at
FirstEnergy Stadium.
On Tuesday, May 31, the R-Phils will entertain the Akron Aeros in game one of their
three-game series. VIST Financial Plaza gates open at 5:30 p.m. and first pitch is set for
6:35 p.m. The R-Phils are scheduled to have Philadelphia Phillies center fielder Shane
Victorino in the lineup for the entire three-game series, as he rehabs his right hamstring
strain. Victorino, 30, is a three-time Major League Gold Glove award-winner.
The first 500 adults will receive an R-Phils Legends Photo, which features Darren
Dutch Daulton, thanks to RP Management/Springside Apartments. As with every
Tuesday home game, R-Phils Senior Club members and Active and Veteran Military members
receive $3 off yellow box seats, thanks to Genesis HealthCare.
Also on Tuesday, all musicians are invited to perform on-field, with a special Celebration
of Music Pre-Game Performance, thanks to Zeswitz Music / Reading Musical Foundation / 830
AM WEEU / 69 News Berks Edition. Any musician interested in performing will receive a FREE
ticket to Tuesdays game.
On Wednesday, June 1, the R-Phils Turn Back the Clock and host the Aeros in a
2:05 p.m. matchup. VIST Financial Plaza gates open at 12:00 p.m. on PA Dutch Day, and the
first 2,000 adults receive a Business Persons Special R-Phils Tailgate Chair (A2000)
thanks to Apex Community Federal Credit Union.
Wednesdays PA Dutch Day tribute, thanks to 830 AM WEEU, will feature some great
Pennsylvania Dutch food, PA Dutch dialect, and special guest Darren Dutch
Daulton, thanks to Yuengling. Fans can meet a former Reading Phillies great, and one of
the most popular Philadelphia Phillies of all-time at the ballpark on Wednesday. Dutch
will throw out a ceremonial first pitch, then head to the Yuengling Hometown Taproom to
sign free autographs and pose for photos with R-Phils fans.
Also on this day, fans can enjoy a special Turn Back the Clock to the Darren Daulton
1983 R-Phils, with 1983 prices on tickets, food and beer, courtesy of 830 AM WEEU.
Fans can get a ticket to the game for the price it cost in 1983. Ticket prices are as
follows: Child/Senior GA - $1.50, Adult GA - $3.50, and Green Reserved Seat - $4.50
(Yellow and Blue Box are regular price). Fans can also enjoy $1 concession menu items
(French fries, hot dogs, and ice cream), as well as a special $2 Happy Hour on beer, plus
$3 Yuengling drafts all game!
As part of the excitement, fans will be treated to great musical entertainment on the
Weston Center Winning Smiles Stage, with fantastic music of the 1980s, courtesy of
Mr. Hand the 80s band, who will perform an exceptional 90-minute concert from 12:00
PM to 1:30 PM. The 80s are back -- for a day, at Americas Classic Ballpark.
On Thursday, the two teams will play the finale of their three-game set, and will do so at
9:35 a.m. for the R-Phils 10th Annual Morning Game. VIST Financial Plaza gates open at
6:00 a.m. on Thursday, and the first 2,500 adults get a 10th Annual Morning Game T-Shirt,
courtesy of Phoebe Berks Village. Also, the first 1,000 adults will be handed an R-Phils
Coffee Mug, thanks to Take Two Bagels. All fans receive free coffee from 6-8 a.m. thanks
to Take Two Bagels, and free hot dogs from 6-8 a.m. thanks to Berks Packing &
Stroehmanns.
Beginning at 7:00 a.m., Tony Farina and his band Swing Boulevard will hit the
Weston Center Winning Smiles Stage for a magical two-hour musical performance. Fans
21-years-old and older can also enjoy Happy Hour, with $1 of select beers.
Also on Thursday, fans can Stroll the Warning Track at 8:30 a.m., thanks to Rock Hits
Y102, and there will be a special Kings and Queen of Baseballtown Autograph Session,
located in VIST Financial Plaza from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. Dont miss the chance to
