Micker Adolfo activated from disabled list

White Sox #10 prospect activated from disabled list

KANNAPOLIS, N.C. (August 27, 2016) - The Kannapolis Intimidators, Class A Affiliate of the Chicago White Sox, have activated outfielder Micker Adolfo from the disabled list and have transferred infielder Sam Dexter to Advanced Rookie Great Falls. The U.S. Virgin Islands native last played for Kannapolis during the Intimidators 9-2, 14 inning, win on the road in Greenville.

Adolfo, 19, entered the 2016 season as the Chicago White Sox #10 prospect. In 54 games this year with Kannapolis, Adolfo is hitting .200 (43/215) with five homme runs and 16 RBI. The young outfielder was signed by the White Sox out of the Dominican Republic in 2013 as the second ranked International Free Agent.

Dexter, 22, was selected in the 23rd round of this year's draft by the White Sox and appeared in just one game with Kannapolis. In his first 38 games of his professional career, he is batting .215 (26/121) with two home runs and 15 RBI.

The Intimidators will play their second to last home game of the year on Saturday at 7:05 PM against the Columbia Fireflies.
