Southeastern CT Relay For Life At Dodd
"The Tigers are proud to host such a great and meaningful event here at our ballpark," said Tigers Director of Community Relations and Promotions Dave Schermerhorn. "Giving back to the community is one of our biggest goals here in Southeastern Connecticut and the ability to take part in this 24-hour relay is just another way to strengthen our community ties."
The American Cancer Society Relay For Life is a life-altering event that celebrates the lives of people who have battled cancer, remember loved one's lost and fight back against the disease. At Relay, teams of people camp out overnight and take turns walking or running around a track or path, in this case the warning track at Dodd Stadium. Each team is asked to have a representative on the track at all times during the event. Relays are overnight events up to 24 hours in length, because cancer never sleeps.
