Stone Crabs Promise an Eye-popping Fireworks Show

On Friday, June 3 Fireworks go 3-D Thanks to Community Eye Center
January 24, 2013
PORT CHARLOTTE, Fla. - The Charlotte Stone Crabs baseball team is partnering with the Community Eye Center to host their first-ever 3-D fireworks show at Charlotte Sports Park on Friday, June 3 when the Stone Crabs take on the Daytona Cubs.

To make the pyrotechnics really pop, Community Eye Center is giving away 3D glasses to every fan through the Stone Crabs gate. General Manager of the Stone Crabs Joe Hart says, "Fireworks are awesome, but we thought giving everyone a 'new' perspective on this baseball tradition would be a blast."

Not only will there be 3-D fireworks but it will also be Military Appreciation Night at Charlotte Sports Park. The night will feature veterans from each war throwing out the first pitch and skydivers that will drop in to deliver the game ball.

This first pitch for this fun filled night is scheduled to be thrown out at 6:30 p.m. but the fun starts when the gates open at 5:30 p.m.

Tickets are still available either by contacting the Charlotte Sports Park box office at 941-206-HITS. For more information, visit www.stonecrabsbaseball.com.
