AMERICAN FAMILY WINNERS ENJOY I-CUBS GAME IN NASHVILLE

Des Moines, IA - Throughout the 2016 season, the Iowa Cubs teamed up with American Family Insurance to present the 2016 Iowa Cubs Road Trip sweepstakes. Fans had the opportunity to sign up to win both online and on select nights at Principal Park with American Family Insurance representatives. On August 8, Pat Meyer of Indianola, Iowa was selected as the lucky winner. He and three guests received a trip to see the Iowa Cubs take on the Nashville Sounds at First Tennessee Park in Nashville, Tennessee on Thursday, September 1.

Thanks to American Family Insurance, Pat and his family were treated to round trip airfare from Des Moines to Nashville, three nights at the Gaylord Opryland Hotel, a $250 Visa Gift Card, hats, t-shirts, and souvenirs from the Iowa Cubs Backstop Store, and a gift basket of prizes from American Family. While in Nashville, the Meyers were allowed early entry to First Tennessee Park to come onto the field for batting practice. After batting practice, Iowa Cubs Manager Marty Pevey along with outfielders John Andreoli and Lane Adams met with the family and signed autographs on the field. The Meyers family also received a guided tour of the ballpark with an up close look at the signature "big guitar" video board, the press box, and the popular "Band Box" area at First Tennessee Park. During the game, the family was treated to VIP seats in the second row behind the I-Cubs dugout and a fireworks show after the game.

The Meyers also received passes to the Country Music Hall of Fame and a chance to take in a show at the historic Grand Ole Opry while taking in the sights and sounds of Nashville over Labor Day Weekend.
