Thank You Fans For a Great Summer

Thanks for being a part of our special 2016. Don't worry, Opening Day will be here before you know it!

BlueClaws Fans,

It was another very special summer here at the Jersey Shore and we'd like to thank you for being a part of it! Your BlueClaws went on a magical run, going from 4-16 and 20-35 all the way to the South Atlantic League Championship Series. While the season ended two wins short of our fourth title, it was certainly a tremendous ride! 

We would like to congratulate manager Shawn Williams, pitching coach Brian Sweeney, hitting coach Nelson Prada, and all of our players on a great run this summer. 

On the field, we saw the second-best half in our team history - a 45-win second half (including wins in 24 of our last 30 games), a franchise home run record as Jose Pujols hit 24 home runs this year, a tremendous pitching staff that had a sub-2.50 ERA over the last month of the regular season, some magical moments like clinching a playoff spot in front of our home fans, a crowd of over 10,000 fans for a tremendous fireworks show on July 3rd, and much more. 

Thanks to you, our great fans, we once again led the South Atlantic League in attendance and moved past the 6.7-million fan mark (can't wait for 7-million next year)! We're very proud to receive such great support from the special Jersey Shore community, and we're honored that that support hasn't wavered over 16 seasons of BlueClaws baseball. 

The off-season might be upon us, but don't worry, pitchers and catchers will be back in no time. We'll be here and we know you will be here too! 

So, what's next? We've already released our 2017 schedule (Opening Day is April 13th). In the meantime, however, we have some great upcoming events that we hope you can be a part of.

Thanks again for joining us and being part of Year 16 at FirstEnergy Park. We had a great ride, and while we're sad it's over, it's one we will always look back and remember fondly. We'll see you next year. Can't wait!
