Bark in the Park & Thirsty Thursday TONIGHT at 7:05pm!
The Legends will take on the Hickory Crawdads, an affiliate of the Texas Rangers, in the three-game series Thursday through Saturday. The first pitch is scheduled for 7:05 p.m. each night and here is a look at the upcoming promotions:
Thursday, June 9 - Legends vs. Hickory - 7:05pm
The Legends and IncrediPet will present the second and final "Bark in the Park" night of the season, when fans can bring their dogs to the game. A minimum $1 donation to the Lexington Humane Society is the "admission price" for dogs. It's also a Penn Station "Thirsty Thursday," when beer and Pepsi products are on sale for $1 each.
Friday, June 10 - Legends vs. Hickory - 7:05pm
Friday is Military Appreciation Night sponsored by the Paul Miller Autogroup, as the Legends honor those who are serving and have served in the U.S. Military Branches. The Legends will also recognize their all-time home run king, Brian Pellegrini, who holds the Legends career and single-season home run records. Pellegrini hit a total of 48 homers over the 2008 and 2009 seasons, including a season-record 27 in 2009. A Pellegrini bobblehead will be given to the first 1,000 fans to enter the park after gates open at 6pm, and Pellegrini will be on-hand as a special guest of the Legends.
"When we put together our promotional schedule at the beginning of the year, the Pellegrini bobblehead giveaway was one of the nights I was most looking forward to," said Legends General Manager Andy Shea. "He was such a valuable asset to our team on the field, our company, and our community. I'm really happy and honored that Brian and his family will be coming to Lexington to celebrate that game with us."
Saturday, June 11 - Legends vs. Hickory - 7:05pm
It's NASCAR night at Whitaker Bank Ballpark y'all, and fans will receive a FREE Legends Car Magnet, courtesy of Lexington Clinic. The series and homestand will conclude with a post-game Ford Fireworks Show presented by Central Kentucky Ford Dealers.
In addition, the Legends will offer a Chevy Youth Baseball Clinic Saturday morning from 8am - Noon at Whitaker Bank Ballpark. Participation is free, and family members are encouraged to attend. For more information on the clinic, visit www.lexingtonlegends.com or www.chevyyouthsports.com.
