Quakes add over 20 new food items

April 4, 2007
RANCHO CUCAMONGA, Calif. -- The Rancho Cucamonga Quakes, in cooperation with their stadium concessions provider, Valley Concessions, are proud to unveil over twenty new food items for the 2007 season.

The new items lead off with the Blue Ribbon Tri-Tip Sandwich. It is a freshly thin-sliced, Midwest prime beef that is so juicy it barely requires barbecue sauce. It is available at both the right-field and left-field café sections.

In addition, The Epicenter will offer its own version of the Philly Cheese Steak Sandwich at the cafés, topped with fresh peppers and onions. 2007 marks the first time the Philly cheese steak has been amongst the concessions here.

For the snackers in the group, the Quakes will offer "Nacho Mountain," which includes every fixin' you could imagine, such as sour cream, jalepeno, pico de gallo, chili, and salsa. Also in the ballpark snack line is fresh spun cotton candy, which is a new offering here at the park, as well as funnel cake fried right before your eyes.

Kettle Corn is new this year as well, as is fresh-squeezed lemonade. Roasted corn and baked potatoes will also be sold at the park. Our new smoothie and ice cream bar will feature four fresh fruit smoothies provided by Juice Stop. Waffle cones are also in the fold for the 2007 season.

In addition to the new funnel cake, we have several other new fried items at The Epicenter this season that are certain to be a hit. Ranch fries, Jalepeno poppers, and buffalo tenders (chicken tenders bathed in Frank's red-hot sauce). To wash it down, the Quakes will offer larger 32 ounce sodas or 24 oz. domestic drafts. The Quakes also are unveiling new bottled margaritas provided by La Paz.

For those wishing to step into the ballpark lap of luxury, the suite menus have been upgraded as well for the new season. Enjoy a "Taste of Mexico," with burrito bars, taco bars, and sample platters. Also added is the "Home Plate Sandwich," a three-foot hoagie served on an actual home plate! Now that is sure to hit the sweet spot with all your guests in the luxury box!

Also new is the 'ultimate picnic package' in the suites, featuring smoked pulled pork and smoked tri-tip. Our new Hors D'Oeuvres offerings feature a fresh fruit and cheese display, and a 'decade dip' featuring ten layers of ingredients.

Our weekday promotions which include concession specials such as "Weenie Wednesday," where we offer $1 Hebrew National Hot Dogs, remain, as do "Thirsty Thursdays," $1 12 oz. draft domestic beers and fountain drinks through the fifth inning. "Monday Madness," remains; two club seats, two hot dogs, two sodas, and two bags of chips for $14. This year the Quakes will also feature more of the "hawkers" selling sodas, peanuts, ice cream, and snacks in the stands, a plan designed to reduce lines at the concession stands.

The Rancho Cucamonga Quakes are the Advanced-A California League affiliate of the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim and open their 2007 season this Thursday at 7:05 PM against the Lake Elsinore Storm. Great seats are still available for Opening Night as well as all 2007 Quakes games. Call the box office at (909) 481-5252.
