The San Diego Padres have announced OF Cameron Maybin will play for the Tucson Padres tonight, and potentially through the weekend, on an injury rehab assignment. The 24-year-old is on the San Diego Padres disabled list with right knee inflammation.
Maybin is in the starting lineup for the Tucson Padres tonight and is expected to play six innings. He has played parts of five seasons in the Major
Leagues and is hitting .254 with five home runs and 15 RBIs for the San Diego Padres this season. He is the third member of the San Diego Padres active
roster to spend time with the Tucson Padres on an injury rehab assignment (Orlando Hudson and Nick Hundley are the others).
