Long Haul Bombers take field after Home Run Derby
"The Jackson Generals are excited to be bringing the premier softball hitters in the country to Jackson as part of the 2011 Southern League All-Star Game," said Generals Assistant GM Jason Compton. "To be on the same schedule as Yankee Stadium, Safeco Field in Seattle, and The Great American Ballpark in Cincinnati is really exciting," Compton added.
During the event on June 20th at Pringles Park, the Long Haul Bombers will pit Team East Coast Athletes versus Team Easton and Team TPS. Players confirmed to participate in the event are Jeff Hall, J.D. Genter, Brian Wegman, Tim Cocco, and Greg Connell. Each hitter will see 18 pitches to swing 15 times.
