Monster Truck to Appear at East Austin Boys & Girls Club

TRAXXAS Monster Truck Destruction Tour Comes to Dell Diamond October 1-2

ROUND ROCK, Texas - In anticipation of the first-ever TRAXXAS Monster Truck Destruction Tour at Dell Diamond, the Round Rock Express are joining forces with event organizers to bring one of the 10,000 pound, car-crushing giants to the Boys & Girls Club of Austin on Thursday, September 29.

The event, scheduled from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at 901 Thompson Street in East Austin, will provide members of the Boys & Girls Club the opportunity to experience one of these unique machines up close and personal. In addition, 250 tickets to the TRAXXAS Monster Truck Destruction Tour have been allotted to the Boys & Girls Club so its members can see the monster trucks in action.

"I can think of few things that could be greater fun for our kids than getting to see a monster truck up close and personal," Boys & Girls Club of Austin CEO Mark Kiester said. "We really appreciate the Round Rock Express and the TRAXXAS Monster Truck Destruction Tour for including our great kids in this really fun event."

The Boys & Girls Club of Austin operates 29 clubs across the greater Austin area, providing more than 12,000 kids with the opportunity to belong, succeed, serve their community and share their voice in the world. Boys & Girls Club staff work to provide each and every child with the opportunity to achieve academic success, build character and good citizenship, and develop healthy lifestyles.

The TRAXXAS Monster Truck Destruction Tour is scheduled to make its way to Dell Diamond on October 1 and 2. The unique event will feature industry icons such as Bigfoot, Skully and X-MAXX competing in racing and wheelie contests before rocking the house with amazing freestyle action.

In addition, the LJ Jenkins Bull Riding Tour will accompany the monster truck fun featuring the biggest and baddest bulls in the land, bucking in bull team competition eight seconds at a time.
