Skipworth Drives in Lone Jacksonville Run

MONTGOMERY, Ala. - The Jacksonville Suns (33-31) fell 2-1 in the fourth game of the series against the Montgomery Biscuits (30-34) on Sunday evening at Riverwalk Stadium.

The loss is Jacksonville's third in four games against the Biscuits, allowing Montgomery to claim its second series win against the Suns this season.

Henry Wrigley hit the game-winning RBI double off Suns reliever Jhan Marinez (2-5) in the bottom of the eighth to deliver the Biscuits a 2-1 lead. Marinez took the loss while Biscuits reliever Paul Phillips (2-4) earned the win, and Zach Quate worked a perfect ninth to claim his ninth save of the season.

Montgomery took the early lead in the first against Suns starter Graham Taylor. Nevin Ashley hit an RBI single to put the Biscuits ahead 1-0 in the first inning as Ashley brought home Tim Beckham. That was the lone run given up by Taylor, as he went six innings allowing only that one run on seven hits with two walks and a strikeout.

Jacksonville scored its only run in the top of the fourth on a Kyle Skipworth RBI single. The run was the only run allowed by Biscuits starter Jim Paduch, who also gave up six hits with three walks and five strikeouts.

The game remained tied until the bottom of the eighth when Wrigley's double over the drawn-in infield gave the Biscuits the lead.

The Suns and Biscuits will play the fifth and final game of the series on Monday night at Riverwalk Stadium. The Suns will start right-hander Joey O'Gara (4-3, 4.15 ERA) while the Biscuits will start right-hander Shane Dyer (4-1, 3.68 ERA).
