2011 FSL All-Star Game
Robbie Aaron and Dan Acheson, broadcasters for the Daytona Cubs, will have the call, with pre-game coverage beginning at 6:45pm.
Aaron and Acheson are both in their first seasons with the Cubs. Aaron, a graduate of Lehigh University in Bethlehem, PA, spent 2009 with the Harwich Mariners of the Cape Cod Baseball League, and broadcast for the Lehigh Valley IronPigs (AAA-Philadelphia) in 2010. The Port Washington, NY native is excited for the 50th FSL All-Star Game.
"Bright House Field is one of the most beautiful and well-designed ballparks I've ever been to," Aaron said, "and that includes the Major Leagues. I can't wait to see it filled with the enthusiastic Florida State League fans for the special night."
Acheson graduated from Emerson College in Boston, MA. He spent 2010 with the Sanford Mainers as the Director of Broadcasting and Media Relations. The Sanbornton, NH native has been impressed with the level of play in the FSL.
"It's going to be fun seeing so much talent playing collectively on one field," Acheson said. "These guys work so hard day-in and day-out and deserve this honor."
The festivities on Saturday, June 18th begin at 5:45pm with the Yuengling Home Run Derby. First pitch for the All-Star game is scheduled for 7:05pm.
